Dave has taken creating tile mosaics from porcelain and ceramic floor tile to a new level. He
loves nature and movement, which clearly shows through his works while using only a straight wet-saw.
First, he
finds a picture or scene which inspires him. He spends hours drawing out his pattern and determining which colors to use.
Then the cutting process begins. Each piece of tile is meticulously cut; closely fitting into its adjacent partner. In Dave's
eyes, the flow of the colors and pattern must be exact. After all of the tile has been cut, it is adhered to the wood, grouted,
and then sealed. Most of his work may be used indoors or outside.
Enjoy looking through some of his pieces. If
you are interested in a specific scene, just contact him and he will be glad to talk through some ideas with you. All pieces
are made from ceramic and porcelain floor tile mounted on wood. The wood, tile, and grout are sealed for indoor or outdoor
display.
